I have a mechanism with a Core 2 Duo E4600 processor which I’m starting to upgrade. My crony wants a brand new computer, though doesn’t wish to compensate a total lot. He was starting to get an Inspirion 560 with a bottom processor (Intel Pentium dual-core E5400) as well as make use of my Core 2 Duo E4600 once we ascent my processor. Will an E4600 work in a motherboard used for a Inspiron 560 with a Pentium? we know both slots have been LGA 775, though will a motherboard await an E4600?
Thanks!

That’s a big no no. There are jumpers on Dell motherboards that need to be set properly, and not only that, the motherboard may not even support the front side bus, etc, of that processor you mentioned. Best thing for you to do is check exactly what piece of junk Dell-designed motherboard is in the system, go to their site, and get the specifications.
