So, we longed for the laptop for christmas, the kind we longed for had to be means to fool around Sims 3 well. My mother pronounced she talked to mechanism dilettante guys as good as they pronounced the ONLY kind we could presumably get would price 12,000 dollars!!! And she pronounced it would be as good much. we did reseach as good as found an additional laptop before, it was usually 489 dollars, as good as I’ve seen ones people endorsed as good as they were NOT which expensive.
My subject is, who is right? Me or her/them? And what laptop would we suggest which was alot cheaper as good as would work good with Sims 3? AND

yes you could play sims 3 on any of those computers. ones that cost 12,000 are super computers. you can get one to play sims 3 that costs as little as 250
If it’s a new computer, it should be able to handle it. They’re just trying to sell you the more expensive ones with all the bells and whistles. The pc I’m on right now cost $400 and bought it less than a year ago and it can keep up with all the current media.
I don’t even think you can get a laptop that costs that much. You’re correct- you can run games on computers much cheaper than $12,000.
That being said, there’s a difference between being able to run it and being able to run it *well*. To play games smoothly with better graphics, you need a decent graphics card. A laptop with a real graphics card will cost at least $800. The cheaper integrated graphics cards (built into the motherboard rather than being a separate piece), such as the one in the Toshiba, will run the game just fine but don’t expect to turn the graphics up very much.

12,000 dollars? I don’t think there’s a laptop that expensive. Not even an Alienware. Even one that’s horribly overpriced. (I can buy a pretty good server for that money, and have enough left over for a VERY nice trip to warmer climes for a few weeks.)
