first of all
the i7 cpu is HORRIBLE for laptops, the i5 is ALOT better
the size of the memory for a gpu means nothing, i can have 120937102398TB graphic card but the gpu itself is slow like hell (like 1hz) and it will still suck against a 28MB graphic card with a gpu if idk 100mhz or so
250gb ssd’s will cost more then 2 new laptops so i dont think you want it
best bet i would say is MSI 740

(it comes with different cpu’s/gpu’s and what not depending on were you buy it, you can change it yourself on moste places)
My top choice would be Dell inspiron 15r a very popular model at a good price customizable from the Dell site. Yes go for the top configuration you are able to afford. 15.6 inches is the mainline standard for most usage.
Some of your names are outmoded like Evo and Armada.
Asus and Toshiba are the most reliable.
AVOID: HP/Compaq. HP has more lawsuit against their laptops than any other maker
