On the Lenovo Ideapad s10-3t my sims 3 disc won't work. Both of them are brand new so how do I fix it?

I only got the Lenovo Ideapad s10-3t. we LOVE IT! My cousin gave me the sims 3 front for Christmas. we commissioned it paid for right away an blunder occurs when we try to fool around it what is happening.
P.S my laptop comes with 1gb RAM as well as 1.67 GHz
