What can we implement to get this to work? we unequivocally wish to know since my netbook would run so most smoother with Linux instead of Windows. Thanks.

There are 4 suggestions to question “Linux Wireless LAN problems?”

  1. Can you please ask the question in Ubuntu Forum?
    http://ubuntuforums.org/
It is much more easier to answer questions there than in yahoo answers. Ubuntu forum is the proper place for asking any kind of question (dumb or smart) related to ubuntu. Thousands of users are there, so you’ll get your answer quickly and correctly.

  2. If you can find it palatable, try Jolicloud. Have a facebook account handy.

  3. If you can see the network under wireless networks available then maybe you need to configure your IP, gateway, etc. If you had to set it manually in Windows you’d have to do it in Linux too.
If the network is not being detected ensure that wifi is turned on. There’d be a separate switch or Fn+some key combination to turn on or off.
Please specify the thing that "said it cannot connect to internet".
