i have the dell vostro 200 mini tower. i wish 2 ascent the graphics label as well as energy supply from these choices. energy supply– antec 500 watt bp500u, or the antec earthwatts 500 80 as well as chronicle 2.2 . will eather of these work upon my mechanism if so that is the most appropriate choice?
graphics card-ati radeon 7000, nvidia geforce fx 5500, ati radeon 9250, ati radeon s120, or the ati secrecy x1550.
which energy supply is the improved of the both as well as that graphics acrd should i get? thanxx
as well as i consider my mechanism has the pci container for it thnxx

For what you are looking for, I know that your system is older, but it should still be upgradable. Your psu choices will work fine for this motherboard/ computer combination.
Antet BP500u is not bad for a simple setup, it will provide plenty of power for basic compants and one gpu. it does have a pcie power connector and a few Sata power connecotrs,so it will work fine.
The Antech earth watts psu is also a good power supply it is a better option than your first choice because it has the 80+ certificaiton whihc means it will save YOU money in the long run.
I would choose the antech eathwatts, they are better in my opinion because of the 80+ certification, in this day in age we need to conserve energy and those psu’s will do the job for years.
If you are looking for an AGP gpu, think about getting either a nvidia gforce 7600gs or a radian hd 3200, either one will be the best you can have for not much mre than the ones you listed. if you are going to upgrade oyur system, you might as well do it right the first time.
PCI slots are white and about 3.5 in long. agp slots will be a little longer, you probably have an open agp slot, it is the one that is closest to the cpu.
Hope this helped
Power Supply? Hm, an interesting question. Well, since your computer will not be going for gaming (assuming) I have some good luck on generic types, which is as basic as your going to get. As to wether it works or not, they all should work providing your case has enough space, and that it has the right MoBo adapter.
Graphic cards? Well, dismiss the FX5500, a friend of mine told me that was a joke, Radeon 7000 is old hat, I think, not much experience with the RAdeon S120, nor the 9250, so the X1550 it is. I think its also the newest there.
That said, ensure that your g card works with your computer. (Types to look for: AGP or PCI-E)
Those graphics card are agp (your whole computer is out of date) Don’t put more money up for stuff that is out of date to begin with!… that is old school stuff. If your going to get a power supply and graphics card I would suggest building a budget gaming computer! You can put together a dual core amd processor with ati HD3200 built in graphics with 4 gigs of ram plus power supply and case for I’m guessing 400ish. It isn’t worth it to put more money in something that is out of date! The reason I say amd is b/c you can always upgrade the processor and not have to buy a new motherboard too unlike intel who always changes sockets up! :O Here is a little help: Motherboard $89: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130210
Processor $66: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103771
Memory 4gb $38: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227199
Computer case antec 300 $55: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042
Power supply $70: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371007
The motherboard has onboard grpahic (ati HD3200) with that you can play most games medium to low settings, until you have money to upgrade to a better graphics card.
Send me an email if you want some more info. Good luck!
If those are your choices and you don’t want to go with anything else, then I would say the Antec 500 80 plus should be your psu choice. It is the most efficient of the two psu’s.
As for the graphics cards, I would go with the Stealth x1550. It comes with Direct X 9 and DDR2 memory. You can compare all graphic cards at the link below. And like the other poster suggested, make sure you know if it is a PCI or AGP slot for your card.
Good Luck!
