There are 3 suggestions to question “Can i play call of duty modern warfare2 on my dell inspiron laptop?”

  1. A computer will not overheat from using software, no matter if it is an application or a game, no matter if a computer meets the hardware requirements or not. A laptop is never very suitable for playing games first of all, but some are better than others as they have a proper, dedicated video card. The video card in your laptop is onboard and intended for office work, surfing the internet, et cetera. Your laptop might be able to run this game, but it will run very slow and the graphics will look very poor. Since you cannot upgrade the video card in a laptop (any laptop for that matter), you will either have to purchase a new computer or laptop if you want to be able to properly run this game.

  2. depends on the "video card" or GPU (graphics processing unit)

bottom tier of the GPU market is the "intel GMA xxxxx" series, if your laptop has that chip then i’d highly doubt it will play games of any sort.

if you have a Nvidia or Ati card then it should play the game, or at least turn on and show you the menu before exploding :P

laptops arn’t the primary choice of video games .

  3. Judging from what you posted here, and having a few friends with this laptop ( I call them flimsy because they shake), no. It won’t play. My friend couldn’t even play an online Resident Evil game without lagging horribly. Sorry friend, but you need a gaming laptop.

Ps. Arie, I would suggest you research laptop hardware before you continue spewing out ignorance. Alienware, XPS, MSI, Sager, Asus ROG, and some Gateway FX laptops are all GPU upgradable. You have to have better cooling, but you are in fact able to upgrade mostly every part in the laptop. Don’t generalize all laptops in the same inferior category,
