There are 2 suggestions to question “ASUS Transformer Prime Tips: Should I upgrade from my ipad 2?”

  1. Don’t upgrade. Any iOS is going to be superior to any tablet coming out for the next couple years (personal prediction). That is because apple uses A TON of javascript to make everything appealing with smooth animations. Plus the corporation puts stable software and hardware with plenty of capabilities to run any of their programs. Also, the biggest thing is the applications. No other competitor can compete with apples Apple Store due to the fact that they really got a head start. Not even the Android Market comes nearly close. iPads are by far superior to any tablet on the market. Asus, although a fairly decent computer company, wont make a good tablet (personal opinion) because of the Apple App Store. And sure Android tablets may have superior processors, but the versatility compared to apple products are pitiful. A big factor is really personal desire; but honestly, overall based, iPads are better.

  2. It depends on how much money you have to burn. ;)

Seriously though, iPad 2 may be a better pure tablet, but the Transformer Prime is a convergence device, with the convenience of both a tablet and a laptop, and 16-hour battery life.

That’s why the original Transformer won awards for tablet of the year *and* laptop of the year. The Prime improves on the original Transformer in every way.
